For anybody trying to rent a gaf at the moment the pain is sadly all to real. Anything reasonably priced gets snapped up quickly and anything cheap is, well let’s face it, probably shite.

One solution is to go up-market and where better to start than 78 Merrion Road. This place oozes D4 class, is right beside all the amenities and craic – although fair warning – Funderland does set up camp pretty close every Christmas.

Inside this place you get, according to the auctioneer bumpf, a “new standard” in residential lettings that apparently wouldn’t be out of place in London or New York 🙂 🙂

Whelan & O’Keeffee did the restoration on this place and inside you get a custom made kitchen, library, pretty dramatic reception rooms and a wet bar (whatever that is).

There is also a master suite (with the standard en-suite and dressing room) and 4 other bedrooms.

For anybody actually considering renting this place there is only significant snag – it is unfurnished and let’s face it given the interior pretty much everyone’s stuff is going to look horrific in this place.
